SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it is actually alarmed about the superior amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher range of clients/beneficiaries here to access SASSA services.
“This is due to the sassa status lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point made for intervention ordeals a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to allow the servicing of all buyers and raise use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
