The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance point designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx sassa status of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all clients and enhance use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
